Packaging Material Reduction
- Reduce the overall volume and weight of packaging to minimise waste where possible.
- Prioritise the use of lightweight, recyclable, and reusable materials.
Sourcing Sustainable Materials
- Use packaging materials with at least 50% recycled content by 2025.
- Aim to increase the use of renewable materials, such as bioplastics or certified sustainable paper.
Circular Economy and Recyclability
- Design packaging that supports the principles of a circular economy by ensuring it is recyclable, reusable, or compostable.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure packaging is compatible with existing recycling infrastructure.
Collaboration and Engagement
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and recycling facilities to improve packaging sustainability.
- Encourage customers to participate in recycling programs through clear labelling and awareness campaigns.
